Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church in Paterson, where faith, service and prayer have come together since 1879.

Calvary Baptist Church is a community of the people of God united in allegiance to Jesus Christ. We exists to glorify God and serve humanity. And we proclaim that God has revealed Himself uniquely in Jesus Christ and through Him makes known His saving purpose for all mankind.

At Calvary Baptist Church, we believe in a practical day-to-day application of the Christian faith.

• That is why as we worship together, we constantly explore ways that our love of God and knowledge of his teachings can help us meet and overcome the real day-to-day challenges we all face.
• It is why we sponsor an impressive variety of ministries that allow each person to honor God and serve the church community through his or her own unique gifts.

And it is why, for decades. our Community Center has offered programs directly meeting pressing needs faced by the residents of our city.

At Calvary Baptist, we hold a never-changing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but we explore an always-evolving array of ways to live that faith powerfully in today’s world. This dynamic spirit and openness to new ideas make this a fascinating and wonderful community to be part of.
