Dr. Rose’s influence extended across the state through his service with numerous organizations, including the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, NJEDGE, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the United Way of Passaic County, among many others. His leadership helped shape not only institutions, but the very fabric of our region’s educational and economic future.
Today, we do not simply mourn a loss; we honor a legacy:
a legacy of vision that lifted others,
a legacy of leadership that made room for those coming behind,
and a legacy of service rooted in purpose and integrity.
The Paterson community, Passaic County, and the entire State of New Jersey are better because Dr. Rose lived, led, and gave of himself so generously.
The Historic Calvary Baptist Church extends our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to his beloved family. We stand with you in this time of grief, praying that the God of all will comfort and surround you with His peace, strength, and assurance.
Although his presence will be deeply missed, his impact will continue to speak in every student empowered, in every life redirected, and in every opportunity created because he dared to lead.
Well done, Dr. Rose. Your work has spoken, and your legacy will endure.
